WHAT IS YOGA TO ME?

Yoga is about finding one’s innate freedom and liberating the structure you came here to realize and express.

It is about the intimacy of connecting self to self, self to other, and self to environment.

This is the weaving to a tensile network of consciousness the yoga tradition has always known about.
Yoga is the relationship that is built between the body, the mind, the breath and the soul.
Yoga is creating space free from obstacles in your own body to live.

I am here to support others find this release so that they can comfortably and competently move their bodies through life.

Yoga is my favourite way of connecting to myself and to a high universal self that is without dogma, rules and through my own embodied experience. Allowing me to consciously looks at uncomfortable parts of myself, understand myself and my habitual body-mind patterns and find self-acceptance, transformation and healing.

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 10 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and more courageous, both on and off the mat. Yoga has taught me how to find acceptance, ease and provided tools for my daily life to live with more presence, awareness, action and joy.

Yoga inspires me to live each moment more mindfully and to devotedly offer myself to the practice of reclaiming the embodied liberated being.

I am a registered 500 EYRT Yoga alliance advanced yoga teacher, teaching vinyasa flow, power yoga, restorative, YIN and embodied flow classes.

As a dancer and mover my passion for movement has merged over the years, teaching mindful creative sequences with a hint of south American vibrancy and passion.
I layer my classes with philosophy and deep intention setting, providing a space for my students to explore the practices yoga and somatics.

My method is a combination of meditation, inquiry, asana, free movement, pranayama, and
Somatics that are based in the Tantric Philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism and Self Inquiry, curiosity
and desire to harness our human potential to realize a more embodied Self.

I also adopt and weave in the incredible meridian-based healing arts of China along with the Five Element theory. The Five Element theory is a practical system which demonstrates how we engage with the cycles of nature. Knowledge of the five elements allows the yogi to understand the laws of nature and to use yoga to attain greater health, power, knowledge, wisdom and happiness.
