About Laura Emilia
I’m Laura — a somatic psychotherapist, Somatic Experiencing practitioner and feminine embodiment guide supporting women to reconnect with their bodies, restore inner steadiness and live with clarity, confidence and self-trust.
My work sits at the intersection of somatic psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, embodied movement and feminine wisdom. Through a non-clinical, body-led approach, I support self-aware, high-capacity women who want to deepen into emotional mastery, relational clarity and authentic expression.
Rather than focusing on diagnosis or pathology, I help women understand their inner landscape, soften survival patterns and grow their capacity for connection, confidence and grounded feminine power. My approach is relational, paced and attuned — rooted in nervous system science, embodiment practices and deep respect for the intelligence of the body. I no longer offer trauma-intensive therapy; instead, my work focuses on regulation, embodiment and feminine nervous-system healing.
Clients often describe our work as grounding, clarifying and transformative. Together, we cultivate the inner stability required for ease, expression, boundaries, intimacy and alignment — not through force, but through nervous system harmony and embodied awareness.
My own journey through embodied healing, identity, cultural transition and nervous system work deeply informs the compassion and nuance I bring to this practice. Having lived across 15 countries, I hold a rich appreciation for diverse lived experiences and the many ways women navigate their inner and outer worlds.
I am based in the Northern Rivers and currently offer all sessions online, supporting women internationally.
My Approach
My work is guided by principles of:
relational attunement
nervous system-led pacing
somatic awareness
consent and choice
embodied feminine intelligence
depth without overwhelm
clarity, softness and grounded presence
This is a non-clinical approach designed for women who are emotionally self-aware, not in crisis, and seeking depth, refinement and meaningful inner change.
I do not offer crisis support, diagnosis or Medicare-funded therapy.
This work is for women ready for embodied growth and self-led transformation.

My Why
There was a period of my life shaped by chronic pain, stress and constant pushing — a time when I didn’t yet understand the signals my body was trying to communicate. My instinct was to manage, suppress and “push through,” trying to stay strong while my system was asking for something entirely different.
This long-term tension, hormonal imbalance and emotional strain left me feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and unsure how to return to a sense of clarity and ease within myself. I realised I needed a different way of relating to my body — not as something to control or override, but as a source of wisdom, guidance and resilience.
My healing unfolded through years of deep study in somatics, psychotherapy, embodiment and nervous system work. I learned how chronic pain, conditioning and patterned responses shape our inner world — and how they can gently shift when we cultivate capacity, presence and attunement. I discovered new maps for emotional and physical regulation, ways of relating to my body with compassion, and tools that helped me navigate both the challenging and the beautiful parts of being human.
This journey changed how I move through the world. I found steadiness where there was once overwhelm, clarity where there was confusion, and a more grounded sense of vitality and purpose. Not because my life became perfect, but because I gained the capacity to meet life from my body — not against it.
This is why I do this work.
Today, I support women who want to feel more regulated, connected and confident in themselves — women who are navigating transitions, identity shifts, emotional patterns, chronic tension or simply the desire for a more embodied way of living. My approach is grounded, relational and body-led, honouring each woman’s pace, intelligence and unique lived experience.
My life is still imperfect and beautifully human, but it is rooted in ease, honesty and alignment. And it is one of my greatest privileges to support others in discovering a steadier, more embodied and empowered way of being.
Aliveness. Vitality. Freedom. Harmony.
This is the essence of my work — and the invitation I extend to you.
Working Primarily in:
Areas I Support
Who I Support
I work with self-aware, high-capacity women who are seeking a more grounded, embodied and easeful way of relating to themselves and their lives. My work is best suited for women who are exploring:
emotional clarity, expression and regulation
long-term stress patterns, chronic tension and nervous-system fatigue
identity shifts, life transitions or periods of personal expansion
boundaries, relational patterns and secure self-leadership
embodied confidence, feminine expression and reconnecting with the body
purpose, creativity and deeper inner alignment
This work is for women who value depth, nuance and growth; women who want to learn how to feel regulated, connected and present in their bodies.
Who This Work Is For
This approach is ideal for women who are:
emotionally stable and able to reflect on their inner world
interested in nervous system work, embodiment and somatic practices
seeking a non-clinical, body-led approach
ready for attuned, paced, transformative support
wanting to cultivate steadiness, clarity and embodied confidence
committed to their personal development and long-term wellbeing
If you recognise yourself here, you are likely a strong fit for this work.
Who This Work Is Not For
To honour the integrity and depth of this work, I do not offer:
clinical mental health diagnosis or Medicare/health fund rebates
crisis support or acute trauma care
treatment for PTSD, dissociation, active self-harm or unmanaged mental-health conditions
support for active addiction or substance withdrawal
court documentation, legal reports or court-related therapy
coaching for rapid "fixes" or surface-level mindset work
This ensures the work remains grounded, relational and aligned.
Important Note About Medicare & Rebates
I do not offer Medicare or private health fund rebates, and I am unable to provide court reports or legal documentation.
Working independently of these systems allows me to offer spacious, personalised and deeply attuned somatic support without the constraints of diagnostic or clinical frameworks.
Medicare does not cover somatic work, relationship-based therapy or nervous system–focused embodiment practices.
