Frequently Asked Questions
+ What kinds of clients do you work with?
I support self-aware, high-functioning women who are seeking deeper nervous system regulation, emotional clarity, feminine embodiment, and a more grounded connection to themselves. My work is best suited for women who are stable enough for somatic exploration and are ready to grow, unwind old patterns and reconnect with their inner wisdom.
+ Is this suitable if I have a lot of trauma?
My work is trauma-informed, and many women I support have trauma in their history. We work gently and at a pace that honours your nervous system, focusing on safety, regulation and embodied presence rather than re-entering overwhelming material.
While I understand trauma deeply, I no longer offer intensive trauma-processing or crisis-level therapy. If you are relatively stable and seeking somatic, body-led support, this work can be very helpful.
If you're in acute distress, highly triggered, or needing specialised trauma treatment, I may recommend additional or alternative support.
+ What happens in a session?
Sessions blend somatic psychotherapy, nervous-system regulation, embodiment practices, gentle touch (optional), and somatic movement therapy. We follow what your system is ready for that day — slow, grounded and without forcing. Talking is part of the work, but we prioritise the body’s cues, sensations, pacing and integration.
+ How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions you need is entirely personal to you, your situation, and the goals you are hoping to achieve in therapy. I recommend scheduling a free consultation to receive a more personalized overview of how many sessions may be the most beneficial for your unique situation.
+ Do you use touch in sessions?
Yes — gentle, consensual touch is offered when appropriate and always discussed beforehand. Touch is never required. You are in full choice at every step, and we work with what feels safe for your system.
+ Do I need experience with movement or embodiment?
Not at all. The movement we use is slow, intuitive and accessible. It is not performance-based — it’s about sensing, softening and connecting with your body. Everything is invitational, paced and supportive.
+ Is this like traditional talk therapy?
Not exactly. While talking is part of the process, the focus is on your felt experience, nervous system, body cues and patterns. We work with pacing, grounding, micro-movements, breath, touch and somatic tools — not just talking about your past.
+Do you offer rebates through Medicare or private health?
I work outside the Medicare model so I can offer a deeper, more integrated and embodied therapeutic process. This means I do not offer Medicare or private health rebates.
+ Do you see men?
At this time, my work is focused on supporting women and female-bodied clients.
What is your cancellation policy?
Sessions need to be paid upfront to secure your booking. I require 48 hours’ notice for any changes to your booking. Cancellations or changes within 24 hours, or no-shows, incur the full session fee. Cancellations made within 48 hours (but more than 24 hours) will result in 50% of the deposit being retained. These boundaries help honour the time, energy and space held for your session, and ensure I can support all clients effectively.
What if I feel overwhelmed during the session?
We go slowly, gently and with lots of grounding. Somatic work is always titrated — meaning we work with small doses that your system can integrate. You will never be pushed into emotions or memories you’re not ready to process.
How often should I come?
Most women begin with weekly or fortnightly sessions to build stability, regulation and momentum. Over time, this naturally shifts as your system strengthens and integrates.
Is this work right for me?
This work is ideal if you’re emotionally aware, stable enough for somatic exploration, and wanting a deeper, embodied approach to healing and growth. It may not be suitable if you’re in crisis or needing intensive mental-health or trauma treatment.
