My Approach
My Approach
I offer a grounded, body-led approach that combines somatic psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing®, somatic movement therapy and gentle embodiment practices.
This work supports your nervous system, emotions and body to unwind patterns, soften tension, restore regulation and reconnect you with your inner intelligence.
Instead of pushing, analysing or reliving the past, we work with your present-moment experience — the subtle signals of your body, your breath, your sensations, your emotions and your intuition.
Healing becomes something your body remembers how to do — safely, slowly and sustainably.
A Trauma-Informed, Non-Clinical Space
While I am deeply trained in trauma-informed somatic therapy, I no longer offer intensive trauma-processing or crisis-level support.
My work is best suited for women who are stable, self-aware and ready for deeper regulation, embodiment and emotional clarity.
We work with:
nervous system dysregulation
anxiety, stress and overwhelm
emotional looping and shutdown
disconnection from the body
stored tension + holding patterns
difficulty relaxing or softening
loss of sensuality or creativity
identity shifts, transitions, and relational patterns
We do not dive into retraumatisation, flooding or deep catharsis. Instead, we work gently and titrate at a pace your system can fully integrate.
A Feminine Embodiment Lens
A core part of my work supports women in returning to their natural rhythms — grounding, softening, balancing, feeling, receiving and leading from a deeply embodied feminine essence.
Your feminine nervous system thrives in safety, slowness and spaciousness.
Sessions honour this and help you reconnect with:
your intuition
your inner “yes” and “no”
your emotional capacity
your sensuality
your clarity and boundaries
your grounded feminine power
How We Work Together
Each session may include:
somatic psychotherapy
SE nervous-system work
somatic movement therapy
gentle, consensual touch
embodiment practices
breathwork
micro-movement and pandiculation
emotional processing (paced and contained)
relational attunement
nervous system education
We follow your body’s pace, not a pre-set agenda. Sessions are collaborative, empowering and deeply regulated.
What This Work Is Not
To maintain a safe, aligned space, I do not offer:
crisis intervention
diagnosis or clinical treatment
trauma-intensive or exposure work
emergency support
mental health assessments (Medicare/NDIS/WorkCover)
This keeps the work grounded, embodied and safe for the clients I am best suited to support.
Testimonial
“It is really rare to find someone like Laura to work with. I felt so comfortable being raw and vulnerable and to face some of the wounds and patterning that even after many years of talk therapy were still hanging around….waiting to be felt and embodied not just talked about. It was such an honour for Laura to hold space for me - always knowing where my edge of comfort was and knowing how to challenge it with softness, respect and authenticity. I feel on such a different path because of my work with her and am so grateful for it.”

Life transitions, purpose & identity
CLIENT FOCUS

People drawn to somatics, embodiment, depth work or spiritual inquiry
English & Spanish speaking clients
my approach best suits these Issues:
Stress, anxiety and overwhelm especially when it shows up as tension in the body or looping thoughts. Nervous system dysregulation feeling stuck “on,” stuck “off,” or cycling between the two. Feeling disconnected or out of your body difficulty slowing down, relaxing, softening or accessing presence. Emotional reactivity or shutdown sensitivity, irritability, numbness, or feeling “too much” or “not enough.” Patterns of over-giving, people-pleasing or over-functioning losing yourself in relationships or responsibilities. Difficulty feeling, expressing or trusting emotions holding everything in, or feeling overwhelmed by your emotional world. Stored tension + somatic holding patterns jaw, chest, belly, pelvic floor, shoulders, back, throat. Loss of sensuality, creativity or feminine energy feeling dry, collapsed, disconnected from desire or inner aliveness. Transitions, identity shifts or relational patterns breakups, life changes, new beginnings, or wanting healthier boundaries. Wanting deeper embodiment + feminine integration moving from thinking → feeling, from coping → inhabiting yourself.

You Deserve to Feel Heard, Held and Understood
Many women haven’t been given the space to be fully seen in their emotional world. You may have learned to cope alone, stay strong, or suppress what’s happening inside, even when it feels heavy, confusing or overwhelming.
Somatic psychotherapy offers a grounded, relational space where you are met with presence, curiosity and safety. Here, you can explore what’s arising in your body, emotions and spirit without judgement. Together, we build the internal capacity that allows healing, connection and transformation to unfold.
This work is not about fixing you, it’s about supporting you to come home to yourself.
